The Steak on the Stone Company Ltd today announced the acquisition of Blackstone Grill. The purchase further strengthens the position of The Steak on the Stone Company, under it’s SteakStones brand, as the world’s leading and top selling hot stone cooking company and sees them add Blackstone Grill’s well known Ceramic range to their current portfolio of products.
SteakStones Managing Director Nick Metcalf commented, “As we strengthen our presence in countries right across the World, it was the right time for us to further increase our offering of products to include the established ceramic range of Blackstone Grill. They have done a great job raising awareness of this particular style of hot stone cooking products, but we know that added to our current extensive Bamboo and Glazed Ranges, as well as our great choice of accessories, that there is not a venue or style of cuisine anywhere in the World who wouldn’t benefit from the dining theatre that our products create”.
He added, “The Lava Stone that we use in our products is the best quality available and unlike other, inferior stone that is unfortunately used elsewhere, ours is guaranteed for safe use in both home and commercial environments. We’ll be replacing the stones previously used in Blackstone Grill’s products with our own Lava, ensuring all our customers benefit from the lower temperature requirements (300-350C, rather than the previously advertised 440C of Blackstone Grill) which mean the stone can be used at home by heating on the hob, under the grill or in the oven, where the temperature allows, and commercially in a new range of ovens which we will be launching soon, to accommodate the different sizes of the Ceramic Range stones.”
SteakStones products are used in venues all over the World including prestigious locations such as the Ritz Carlton and St Regis Hotels, Cruise lines including P&O and hundreds of restaurants from traditional Steak Houses, to Gastro Pubs, Indian, Thai and Chinese Restaurants. The company’s mission is to allow diners to enjoy their steaks cooked exactly as they like, with every last mouthful as hot and delicious as the first.
